Learning Blocks will make its debut into the European market as a world first educational tool at the 2009 Toy Fair
in Nuremberg Germany.
How do these Blocks differ from all other building blocks?
Learning Blocks are different from all other block sets because
children can learn basic mathematical concepts - numbers and geometry
and can also learn how to build the letters of the alphabet all 26 of them.
Children can learn these educational objectives and more whilst they
are having fun creating and building models with the blocks.
The above educational objectives are just two examples of what
children can learn with their educator using the Learning Blocks
building blocks and text/workbook.
How children LEARN quicker through using building blocks:
Through detailed studies scientists have found evidence that children
learn quicker when different senses are stimulated at the same time.
Examples of simultaneous stimulation using Learning Blocks
Children use their hands to feel the different shapes (Touching)
and they are visually stimulated through the demonstration of
concrete images - for example the assembled models of the letters
of the alphabet A, B, C to Z and the bright
colours of the blocks. (Vision)
Children also have fun listening to the educator/ adult and other children
speaking/talking about the exercises from the text/workbook and then
it is the children’s turn to practice speaking to the educator/ adult and
other children. (Hearing)
(These learning objectives and assembled models are listed
and illustrated in the Learning Blocks - 84 page text/workbook)
Versus:
When children learn with the traditional blackboard and chalk
only the sense of vision is being used.
Therefore, when children have many senses stimulated at the same
time they learn faster. They remain more attentive and interested
so therefore they can retain the information they have learnt.
Structured learning in groups begins in Kindergarten
Learning Blocks is an educational tool that is designed for children
aged 3 to 14 years and is specifically tailored for children in their
first years of learning in a group situation - Kindergarten and School
YEARS 1 and 2 ( 3 to 7 year olds).
The 15125 and 15050 Learning Blocks sets contain 15 different
buidling parts (shapes and sizes) and different coloured parts.
All these parts are multi functional and interchangeable. Many
models can be built using these sets not just 1 , 2 or 3 models.
An 84 page text/work book accompanies the block's set 15125
to assist the educator to reach the individual learning goals
playfully and in a fraction of the time it would normally take
using other learning methods that only stimulate one sense
at a time.
The blocks lead children playfully to learn the basics of
colour theory, Arithmetic, numbers, set theory, reading letters,
geometry, logical and three-dimensional thinking, as well as
the basic concepts of mechanics (construction).
The possibilities using learning blocks are limitless:
They stimulate the imagination of children, enhance their thinking
abilities and enable them to use their senses simultaneously.
By playing with Learning Blocks children will gain the basic
learning foundations for their future.
